Wow am I excited! It has been SEVEN months since we’ve had ANY website at all, and to be honest, we’ve NEVER had one quite this cool. I am a kid in a candy store learning all the neat tricks I can do with the site. I’m learning so bear with me; it’s gonna be pretty cool though… If you want to see specific pictures or videos or have lyric requests or whatever, let me know.
We’ve got a busy busy weekend ahead! Thursday night Geno, Cody and I play in town here in St. Paul at Shamrocks, which might be dangerous (the last time I played there I lost my phone…) Hopefully that won’t happen this time…
Friday we’ve got to get up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for a seven-hour drive to Weston. It’ll be cool to play in O’Malley’s with the big band again. That is SUCH a cool bar, and people down there are always really receptive to us, so the seven hour drive never really feels like a chore.
Saturday it’s up again for a 300 mile trip to Greeley for the Greeley Irish Fest. This is our third festival this season which is really cool to be able to say! It’s our long-term goal to play more festivals all over the country, so this is definitely a step in the right direction. I really don’t know what to expect, so I guess you can expect some updates with my findings!
No rest for the weary, as Sunday it’s another 450 miles home. Crazy stuff. Times like this definitely make me wish we were based in Philly or somewhere like that, where you could be in another big city in only a few hours. Either that or we need a plane. haha
My Steelers started off the season with a nice win over the Titans, the team that disrespected the Terrible Towel at the end of last year. You simply don’t do that to the Towel, and its vengeance was swift. It was a tough win to get for sure, but we got it and that’s what matters. Now if we could only find our running game again, and get Troy Polamalu back from his knee injury. Ugh. It’s always something. The Stillers get to go to Soldier Field on Sunday, and I’m excited for it because Cutler looked TERRIBLE against the Packers. We shall see…
