Christmas Compilation CD Just Released

Home for the Holidays Vol 2 WCB is proud to have been included in the lineup of A-list Minnesota artists on the Home for the Holidays A Minnesota Christmas Volume 2 CD compilation. This album benefits local charities for the holidays, and the first volume sold really well so we are expecting great things yet again! Click on the above link to buy your copy and listen to our original contribution “Santa See You Tonight”. The CD is also available at Minnesota Target stores, if you are more of a brick-and-mortar sort.

Mall_of_AmericaIn support of the album, Geno and Adam will be doing an acoustic set at the Mall of America Rotunda this Saturday, so if you have decided to subject yourself to the complete and total chaos that will be the Mall this weekend, stop by from 12pm-1pm for a rest, a coffee and some WCB. We will be playing Santa See You Tonight and some other Christmas favorites! Come say hello.

Ireland Tour a Complete Success

Castlemaine Well folks, we did it. We successfully navigated the Emerald Isle with two busloads full of people, and I think we can safely say, we all had a fhantastic time!

The band played gigs in Galway, Killarney and Waterford and each show was better than the last. Each venue came right out and told us that they can’t wait for us to come back and play again–it was really something special. To those of you who went along–THANK YOU! Thank you for making this a truly unforgettable experience for us as a band. We sure hope you had as memorable time as we did. You guys rock. For a whole week WCB-mania reigned supreme in Ireland, and we can’t wait to go back in 2011! If you missed this one, we definitely want to give you a chance to make up for it, so… keep posted for details on a return trip! Also look to Adam’s Blog for a series of video updates from the road.

Home For A Rest

Still trying to catch up on my sleep after the long, busy week in Ireland! :)

Our week in Ireland marked our first proper tour with our full band.  We’re really lucky to have shared it with so many supporters who traveled a long way to make it the great tour that it was.  I think everyone had an absolute blast — I know the band did!

Our shows were so much fun.  It was really easy to get right into our playing when there was a built-in audience every night.  When you bring a crowd with you there’s no worry about how you’ll be received.  I think we played a little more loosey-goosey than normal and the result was fantastic.  Every place we played wants us back so I guess it’s time to start planning the next tour. ;)

I’m trying to get rested up.  I’m taking it easy and working of a few unfinished songs.  I guess the next big project will have to be a new album.

Thanks again to everyone who made this tour great:  Our Fhans, our bus drivers (Owen and Paddy), the friendly people of Ireland, and most of all Maria and everyone at Celtic Journeys who worked so hard to make our trip so much fun!

Cheers,

Geno

Hello From Ireland!

Adam, Derek and Tony saying hello from the Emerald Isle!

The Big Day

I can’t believe the tour starts in a couple days.  Where did the year go??  I hope everyone who is joining us is ready for a lot of fun on very little sleep!  And if you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry.  You can come next year. :)

I guess I’d better get my things in order.  Laundry, packing, unpacking, repacking.  I’m sure I’ll take something I don’t need and forget something crucial.  But that’ll be part of the adventure!

Ireland Time

IE-Tour-Image-color-blackIt’s Ireland time ladies and gents, and boy are we excited! If nothing else, our tour will allow us some time to get away from the 24/7 Brett Favre “will he, won’t he” weekly teledrama…

In all seriousness, we are really, really pumped. We have 65 people traveling with us for a week-long tour of the Emerald Isle, and the full band is ready to go! We have lofty aspirations, including video blogs and updates so keep checking back for the latest WCB gossip. We’re heading out on November 6 and are done with the tour on the 13th, although most of the band is staying on for various other destinations (Italy and Belfast are among them). We will see you all either in Ireland or when we get back to the USA!

All the best,
WCB
